Nathan Hake is a Merchandiser at Norfolk Crush LLC, where he is responsible for sourcing soybeans for the company’s state-of-the-art soybean crushing facility. With years of experience in the agricultural industry, Nathan expertly navigates the market and supply chain to ensure a steady and efficient flow of raw materials for production.
A native of the Creston area, Nathan grew up on a family farm, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep passion for agriculture. After earning an Associate’s degree in Agricultural Business from Northeast Community College in 2006, Nathan went on to work at two large cooperatives in the region, gaining valuable experience in the cooperative field before joining Norfolk Crush.
In addition to his professional role, Nathan enjoys staying connected to his farming roots by helping out on the family farm. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his son, Liam, who shares his love for cars, trucks, and farming. Nathan is also passionate about jeeping, fishing, and taking care of his pet chickens.
Hanna Schwartz grew up in the Norfolk, NE area and graduated from Northeast Community College in 2021 with a degree in Ag Business and Animal Science. She began her career in agriculture at ADM, where she gained valuable experience working throughout college and beyond.
Now, Hanna has brought her expertise back home to Norfolk, where she serves as a Grain Merchandising Trade Assistant. She is passionate about the agricultural industry and looks forward to contributing to the success of the business while being part of the hardworking rural community she knows and loves.
Jake Werner is merchandiser with Norfolk Crush where he will primarily focus on soybean origination, truck soybean meal & fiber sales, and logistics.
Originally from Humphrey, NE, Jake attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he majored in Agricultural Business & Economics. Before coming to Norfolk Crush, Jake spent nearly 8 years with ADM in Minnesota and Nebraska across various business units including soy processing, grain elevators, and corn processing.
Jake and his wife Marissa have 3 sons and will reside in Humphrey. He is thrilled to have an exciting opportunity with Norfolk Crush to grow the agricultural industry in Nebraska while also raising his kids in a rural setting close to family.
